PROJECT TOMBOY / FAQ

More freedom with a trike.

We have collected the questions we hear most often, from choosing a trike to maintenance after delivery. Where answers depend on the vehicle or specification, TOMBOY checks each one individually.

01About trikes

What kinds of trikes does PROJECT TOMBOY offer?

We create original trikes centred on Honda Gold Wings, using kits from Motor Trike and California Side Car. We confirm the right specification for your base vehicle, model year and intended use.

Can my current motorcycle be converted into a trike?

Feasibility depends on the make, model year and condition. Please contact us with the vehicle registration or details such as make, model, year and mileage; we will confirm the compatible kit and required work.

How does a trike ride differently from a two-wheeler?

With two rear wheels, stability when stopped and the feel of manoeuvring change. In turns, rather than leaning as on a two-wheeler, it is important to manage your speed and line. We explain the basics at delivery.

02Purchase & delivery

What is the process from purchase to delivery?

The process is consultation and use confirmation, choosing the base vehicle and specification, quotation, build and registration, final checks, then delivery. For details, please see“From Order to Delivery”.

What price and lead time should I expect?

They vary by base vehicle, kit, colour, equipment and registration area. We provide an individual quotation with an accurate price and schedule after confirming the specification. Tell us your budget and preferred delivery timing at the first consultation.

Can I purchase or consult from a distance?

Yes. Please start via the enquiry form or phone. We will guide you through vehicle-condition checks, specification discussions, delivery options and costs for your area.

Can I ask about pre-owned trikes or parts only?

Stock and availability change. Please feel free to contact us about pre-owned vehicles, parts or additional equipment for your current vehicle; we will confirm the latest availability.

04Maintenance

What maintenance is needed after conversion to a trike?

Along with routine checks for the base vehicle, regularly inspect trike-specific items including tyre pressure, wheel nuts, alignment, brakes and lights. Please contact us early if you notice unusual sounds, vibration, pulling or a change in brake feel.

Can I ask about repairs or customisation?

We check vehicle condition and parts compatibility before advising you. Send photos and registration details along with your requirements for repairs, ride comfort, storage, exterior work or convenience equipment.

Please tell me about the warranty.

Warranty coverage, period and conditions vary by base vehicle, kit and work performed. We provide the details in writing with the quotation; please review them before purchase.

Turn your questions into your next ride.

If you have a question not listed here, we can check it specifically when we have the vehicle details.
