More Work Coming In

Hi. Somehow I thought I was getting work done, or perhaps I was just imagining it. The amount of work is unbelievable. Well, there is nothing for it but to get on with it.

Working on things like this…

And this…

This engine would not start. While looking for the cause…

I found the starter motor was the problem, so now we are waiting for the part.

These tyres have arrived, by the way. We look forward to seeing you at the shop.

A forty-year-old Suzuki Bara moped has also come in. There used to be a Ran model too, didn't there? The engine starts, but the bike will not move.

The teeth on the final-drive sprocket have worn away. After forty years, spare parts are not exactly easy to find. I will investigate, but does anyone have one?

We have also taken in this big machine, and there are quite a few things to check.

Today a transport company called to say they wanted to deliver a motorcycle tomorrow. But I had not heard anything about it. I told them it was strange to expect us to accept a vehicle before the customer had contacted us. Besides, there is no more room inside.

A few minutes later, the customer called. It was Honda. They formally asked us to take on the job and apologized for arranging transport without speaking to us first. Sometimes even a big company gets the order of things completely mixed up.

The insurance industry is changing too. With things being done this way, I wonder how agencies can keep going. There will probably be even more unreasonable situations ahead.

Anyway, let's keep at it.
