A Secret Operation

Hi. It is a secret, so I cannot tell you. That is what a secret is. But before the operation starts, this heat might finish me off.

Today I really have something to say. I went over to the other shop to use the vehicle transporter. Believe it or not, I like driving it more than eating three meals a day. Well, food is hard to give up. You need a meal before driving the transporter, after all.

I tried to start the engine, and it would not fire. The starter turned, but the engine would not start. That is a problem. Despite appearances, I am a nationally qualified mechanic.

I had a look, and I have no idea. Being a mechanic does not mean I have worked on trucks. I cannot even tell what some of the sensors do. The manufacturer has handled its servicing and inspections, but stopping after five years seems rather soon. The Hiace, on the other hand, just keeps going.

It looks as though I cannot go out, so let's get back to motorcycle work.

Let's finish changing the front and rear tyres. The amount of brake pad material left caught my attention too.

Then I went for a vehicle inspection.

With the truck broken, I loaded the bike into the Hiace for the first time in a while. Loading and unloading is definitely easier with the transporter. The inspection was completed successfully, so back from that scorching place. Next…

Let's work on this one.

And this one needs tyres.

Then an emergency call came late at night, so I went to collect a vehicle. There were police officers and a patrol car there. The wheel would still turn, so I managed to load it, but nobody helped. Not very kind.

I will check its condition tomorrow. Accidents are something we really must avoid. Take care out there.

See you.
